The Concept
This event explores gold not simply as a colour, but as an idea. Luxury, value, warmth, power and presence all sit beneath the surface of the concept, shaping a series of looks that balance opulence with restraint.
Across the shoot, we present gold in many forms. Liquid-like fabrics flow and catch light as though molten. Sculptural materials hold shape and structure. Metallic surfaces, plated textures and rich details create moments of contrast and depth.
Set against warm sands, muted stone tones and subtle references to desert landscapes, the event pairs richness with dryness — luxury against emptiness, softness against environment.
The Concept
Built around silk, chiffon and other flowing fabrics, Held in Motion explores how texture, line and form can create the illusion of movement, whether the materials themselves are caught in motion or hanging perfectly still.
At the heart of the event is the idea of fluidity.
Think cascading fabrics that resemble waterfalls frozen in time. Think soft layers catching the light and wrapping around the body like flowing water. Think elegant drapery, delicate movement and shapes that feel effortless, even when held completely still.
We're fascinated by the relationship between motion and pause. There are moments in dance and ballet where everything appears weightless for just an instant, and it's those moments we're hoping to capture. Not necessarily movement itself, but the suggestion of it.
There is something incredibly calming about this theme. It's not loud or overly complicated. Instead, it's about elegance, simplicity and allowing beautiful materials to do what they do best.
Across the event, we'll explore a variety of looks and approaches. Some will feel soft and minimal, allowing the fabrics and shapes to speak for themselves, whilst others will become more dramatic as layers of material fill the frame and create a greater sense of movement and scale.
Our Model

Anna's background in dance makes her a wonderful fit for the concept. Her understanding of posture, balance and line allows the boundaries between dance and modelling to blur naturally, helping to create images that feel graceful, expressive and full of life.

What to Expect
A carefully structured small group event
A unique experience where atmosphere, creativity and exceptional imagery come together.
1-to-1 Shooting Time
Dedicated shooting time with the model, with space to capture a number of frames before rotating.

Respectful Shooting Space
Only one photographer shoots at any one time, creating a calm and respectful environment.

Small Group Structure
Only three photographers are in the main shooting space at a time, with groups rotating between the set and relaxation space.

Review & Re-Shoot
Time is built in to review images, discuss ideas and re-shoot following feedback or group change.

Guidance Available
Help, advice and feedback are available from the Luminescence team, tailored to your level of experience.
