The Event

giving you an insight into the concept and narrative…

The Concept

As with previous events centred around materials, we're interested in taking something familiar and looking at it in a completely different way.

Rope becomes more than just something functional; it becomes texture, shape and structure. A material capable of creating images that feel both natural and fashion-led.
This isn't about what rope is traditionally used for — it's about what it can become.

~

Think intricate woven details and beautifully imperfect textures. Think flowing drapes and organic forms alongside stronger, more sculptural silhouettes. Think earthy tones, natural fibres and handcrafted pieces that celebrate the material itself rather than hiding it.

There is something wonderfully tactile about rope. It carries a warmth and honesty that lends itself beautifully to photography, allowing texture and craftsmanship to become part of the story. Across four distinct looks, we'll explore different sides of the theme. Some sets will feel softer and more organic, whilst others will push further into shape, form and high-fashion styling.

Our Model

Meg returns to Studio Luminescence for another of our material-led concepts, this time exploring the creative possibilities of one of the simplest materials imaginable — Rope.

Meg's versatility makes her a perfect fit for a concept like this. Whether working with something understated and natural or something bolder and more dramatic, she has a wonderful ability to bring presence and emotion to every frame.
